Hi, I was underwhelmed by amanpulo. Great beach but you can get similar…my biggest gripe was no view from pool so no incentive to use it, I don’t care about shopping on a remote island so that whole area no issue. The rooms were fine not any special and old looking. Maybe the villas would be better but i grade based on pavilion where most stay. The food was good not great. Service great. Competition has upped their game. A valid discussion can be made for it to be or not be on the list but I can understand it not being on the top tier of the list.

You clearly haven’t been to Amanpulo in Palawan, Philippines. You should check it out 🙂

Amankila number 1 for us. But wouldn’t begrudge Amanpulo, Amanjiwo or Amanoi to be #1 either. Haven’t been to European or American ones yet.

Of the 6 or 7 that I’ve stayed, my fav was Amansara in Siem Reap. Great service, fantastic tour options, really nice villas, great management, and…most of all, Amansara had the best menu and food of any of my Aman stays. Looking forward to trying Amanoi in the near future

As I scrolled down I was curious to how high you would place Amanpulo and Amanjiwo on this list. Very surprised that neither even made the list.
